A hand electric drill simply relies on the motor to drive the transmission gear to increase the force of the drill bit's rotation, allowing the drill bit to scrape through materials such as metal and wood.

During the operation of the impact drill, there is an adjustment knob at the drill bit chuck, which can be used in two ways: adjustable drilling and impact drilling. However, impact drills utilize the mutual jumping of gears on the inner shaft to achieve impact effects, and the impact force is far less than that of electric hammers. It can also drill reinforced concrete, but the effect is not satisfactory.
Hammer drill (electric hammer) is different. It uses a bottom motor to drive two sets of gear structures, one to achieve drilling, and the other to drive the piston, like an engine hydraulic stroke, producing strong impact force, accompanied by the drilling effect. Strength can split stones into gold.
An electric pickaxe is a type of hammer that operates in a bouncing manner, driven by an electric motor to create a chiseling effect on the ground. The hydraulic pump hammer uses the gas pressure transmitted by the air compressor to drive the pump hammer in the electric hammer to bounce back and forth, thereby producing the effect of chiseling on the ground. However, the electric hammer only chisels, and its head does not rotate.
In summary, electric drills can only be used for drilling, and impact drills can also have a slight impact effect. Hammer drills can drill with higher hammer strikes, while electric pickaxes only perform hammer strikes and cannot drill.
